Kidde Hardwired Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector, Battery Backup, Interconnectable, LED Warning Light Indicators, 4 Pack
Kidde Hardwired Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector, AA Battery Backup, Interconnectable, LED Warning Light Indicators, model 900-CUDR, is an alarm combo that detects smoke, fire, & carbon monoxide gas, using a single alarm. It connects to your home’s wiring (120V AC power), while 2-AA batteries (included) provide battery backup during the event of a power failure. The Kidde Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm is equipped with self-testing components that are always checking the unit to ensure the device is operating as expected*. In the event of a smoke or carbon monoxide event, an 85-decibel alarm will sound & LED light warning indicators will alert you to various statuses: green indicates normal operation, amber indicates there is an operating error, and red indicates a smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide incident. The Kidde Smoke & Carbon Monoxide alarm uses photoelectric sensors that detect visible fire particles associated with slow smoldering fires, as well as an electrochemical carbon monoxide sensor, which offers accurate readings of CO. The Whole-Home Activation features expand via the hardwired 120V AC connections to other Kidde smoke alarm, so when one alarm sounds, they all do*. The test-hush button alows testing of the alarm, while the hush button allows for temporary silence of the alarm when a nuisance, or “false” alarm sounds from events like routine cooking or shower steam. When the alarm is nearing its end of life, it will begin to chirp. Place a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector on each level of your home, in hallways, and inside each bedroom. UL Certified with a 10-year limited manufacturer’s warranty on the alarm. Meets requirements of UL 2034, UL217, NFPA72, NFPA 101, FHA, & HUD. *Self-testing is not a substitute for a manual push test of the alarm. Perform a button test once per week to verify proper alarm operation. **Alarms only connect with select Kidde alarms that have hardwired AC interconnect capability (see User Guide).
Kidde Heat Detector, Hardwired with Battery Backup & 2 LEDs, Interconnectable
The Kidde Heat Detector, Hardwired with Battery Backup & 2 LEDs, Interconnectable (model HD135F) is an AC/DC powered heat alarm that operates on your home’s 120V power source. In the event of a power failure, the Kidde heat alarm comes equipped with a 9V battery backup. Using heat sensing technology, the wired heat alarm detects temperatures rising above 135⁰ Fahrenheit, alerting homeowners to dangerous temperatures unlike a smoke alarm, which only detects smoke. Heat detectors are recommended for areas where a smoke alarm may not be appropriate, such as in a kitchen, garage, attic, or other area where smoke or dust may set off a false alarm on a smoke detector. Installing both smoke and heat detectors in a home can provide extra protection while triggering fewer nuisance alerts.
The heat alarm includes a quick connect power harness to make installation fast and easy. An 85-decibel alarm sounds when the high temp sensor detects elevated heat conditions. Two LEDs indicate the heat sensor alarm’s status: a green LED is constantly ‘on’ when AC power is present, and a red LED will flash every 30-40 seconds to indicate that the heat alarm is operating properly; the red LED and will flash rapidly when the unit is sounding until air temperature is reduced. The Kidde heat detector can be used as a single unit or interconnected with up to 24 Kidde devices (18 of which can be initiating) in a multiple station arrangement. UL Certified with a 5-year limited warranty. Meets requirements of UL217, NFPA72, The State of California Fire Marshal, NFPA 101 (one- and two-family dwellings), FHA, and HUD.
The Kidde 120-Volt AC Hardwire Heat Alarm gives you and your family an early warning to dangerous temperatures of 135-Degree F or more. This unit can be used as a single station unit or it can be interconnected to up to 24 Kidde devices in a multiple station arrangement. The interconnect system should not exceed the NFPA interconnect limit of 12 smoke alarms and or 18 initiation alarms. The heat detector includes a tamper resist pin to help deter tampering or theft.
